Personal Touch

A ribbon tying it all up! A thread from one place to another and back again. Falling in love with this beautiful country all over again.

Since establishment in 2011, Elegant Places little secret, a little house on the prairie on an olive farm near Vergenoegd in the Cape Winelands, has bared host to an assortment of friends and friends of friends. Each one receiving a personal touch that was to be remembered.

Many of our previous clients have returned to our shores from countries abroad such as Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and Northern American. Our idyllic climate is a dream during our warm summer season, not to mention our lavish hospitality that keeps everyone coming back for more.

On one stunning Friday afternoon at Mulderbosch you could find us sipping fine wine for sundowners. While leisurely taking in the last rays of sunshine we met a lovely gentleman who wanted to book a trip for his family to Gondwana. We jumped to the task and ensured all of his dreams became a reality. He and his family have returned, repeatedly, to visit this treasure of a destination with absolute joy.

Did you know that South Africa ranks seventh among the biggest wine-producing countries in the world! We have explored many, many wine farms during our time exploring this beautiful countryside. Some of favourites include; Webersburg, Waterkloof (the set location for Black Mirrors, San Junipero), Cavalli, Rustenberg, Vrede en Lust, Wederwill, Brenaissance, de Morgenzon to name only a few. These farms are what dreams are made of and an absolute must see when you visit the beautiful Cape.

Before all the esteem, we visited Wolfgat in Paternoster. It has been voted as the World’s Best Restaurant! It is simply the most sublime, understated, yet elegant experience you will encounter. Exploring these off-map places in seemingly deep, dark Africa with effortless ease is where the brand started and we continue to search for these gems before the rest of the world knows about them.

Would you like to take in a deep breath of African air that will heal your soul? We took out our hiking boots and stepped into the world of Mother Nature. Hiking wilderness trails in Cederberg mountains was absolutely breathtaking! We went to the remarkable Wolfberg Arch, a World Heritage Site, in search of the elusive Cape Leopard. Swimming in the same pools of water that these leopards drink from. On another of our trails we immersed ourselves in was Cape Point Nature Reserve. This, also being a World Heritage Site, is an area of vast natural beauty, world renown for it natural vegetation and rich bio-diversity. In true South African spirit, we would end off each day with a cup of local Rooibos tea, made from the indigenous Rooibos plant.

Are you excited to take a journey with us and see the true hidden treasures this beautiful part of the world has in store for you?

We cant wait to book your dream adventure in the most beautiful place on earth.
